Process

  • 1. Assembly order is started in your ERP system.
  • 2. The information about the required components is transmitted to our Pick by Light system.
  • 3. Light signals indicate from which compartment the component is to be taken. At the same time, an image of the installation situation is displayed on a monitor.
  • 4. After picking and installation, the work step is confirmed.
  • 5. The event is sent to the ERP system. A corresponding confirmation with withdrawal can be posted there.
  • 6. As long as other components are still to be fitted: Continue with step 3.

Multi-Order-Picking

At LogiMAT 2019, we presented our new solution Multi-Order Picking with LED Strips to the public for the first time.

This solution represents a significant increased Efficiency compared to classic Pick by Light and Put to Light solutions. At the same time, the costs through the use of inexpensive LED strips are reduced .

You will never have to modify a shelf again, when the assignment is changed, as the LED strips cover the entire storage area. The solution therefore inherently covers storage bays of different widths .

Multiple workers can simultaneously pick articles for different orders. LED strips consisting of individually and separately controllable LEDs in different colors guide the respective worker to the removal compartments with the color "his" picking order (Multi User Multi Order Picking).

A worker can also handle several orders with different colors at the same time (Single User Multi Order Picking).

The quantities to be removed are displayed either on a tablet or handheld device. Only the data for the order is displayed for the logged-in user. Each worker has their own user master record in which the order color for this worker is assigned.

The Confirmation of the removal is also carried out on the tablet.

Also for placement processes ”Multi Order Put by Light”, this procedure can be used: The worker starts the storage order using a hand-held scanner, for example. The corresponding storage compartment then lights up in “its” color.

The comprehensive software on our control unit handles the entire logic. Via an open API all processes can be managed via an external order system (e.g. SAP) can be controlled remotely. Suitable SAP interfaces are available.
